Lonely Planet - Lonely Planet Publications (usually known as Lonely Planet or LP for short), claims to be the largest independently-owned travel guidebook publisher in the world. It is probably the most popular series of travel books among backpackers and other low-cost travelers, due to its history of serving this market.
Lonely Planet Six Degrees - Lonely Planet Six Degrees is Lonely Planet's flagship travel show, hosted by Asha Gill and Toby Amies. The show is centered on unique people living within locations, rather than simply famous tourist attractions, with one of the hosts meeting with one contact in a specific country, who in turn leads them to another contact, and so on, following the idea of six degrees of separation.
Globe Trekker - Globe Trekker (also called Pilot Guides outside the United States and originally broadcast as Lonely Planet) is an adventure tourism television series produced by Pilot Productions. The British-based series was inspired by the Lonely Planet travelbooks and is currently entering its 11th season.
Ian Wright (traveller) - Ian Wright (born 1965, Suffolk, England) is a host of Pilot Productions' travel/adventure television series Globe Trekker (originally broadcast as Lonely Planet in the United States). He also hosted the short-lived program Ian Wright Live, a show filmed before a live audience and featured discussions on various travel topics.
